Berta Giner is a visual artist based in Madrid.
Her work investigates the landscape as a perceptual and material experience, exploring the relationship between matter, time and memory. Through processes of accumulation and reduction, her paintings trace a movement from the physical presence of the landscape towards its dissolution into a trace.
With over 30 years of continuous practice in painting, her work is grounded in a long-term exploration of technique and material. In 2021, she began dedicating herself fully to her artistic practice, marking a turning point in the public articulation of her work.
She has held solo exhibitions in Madrid (2023) and Barcelona (2024), and has participated in art fairs such as Estampa and Art Madrid, in addition to exhibiting at the MEAM Museum. Her work has also been presented in group exhibitions at international galleries and art fairs in Rome, Berlin, Madrid, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Miami, Paris and New York.
