Berta Giner is an artist based in Madrid. Her practice, developed over more than two decades, stems from an ongoing exploration of landscape and matter, primarily through painting.
Her work approaches landscape as a living organism in constant transformation, where processes of accumulation, erosion, and dissolution leave traces on the surface. Her paintings navigate the space between physical presence and disappearance, exploring how matter can become a record and tell us the story of what it has experienced.
In 2021, she decided to share her artistic practice publicly, marking a turning point in both her life and her career. Since then, she has presented her work at art fairs such as Estampa, Art Madrid, LA Art Show, and Art Karlsruhe, as well as exhibiting at the Museum of Modern Art (MEAM). Her work has also been featured in group exhibitions at galleries and international art fairs in Rome, Berlin, Madrid, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Miami, Paris, and New York. She has also held solo exhibitions in Madrid (2023) and Barcelona (2024).
